Religion is a very broad topic. To completely understand religion, I had to dig deeper than just a definition. The way I was about to completely understand religion and everything that it involves, I had to analyze it as a whole. I broke religion down from a basic concept into seven key points. These seven key points that religion is based upon are: humanity, problem, cause, end, means, reality, and sacred. Humanity, what it means to be human. Problem, what is the fundamental human dilemma? Cause, what caused this dilemma? End, what is the goal of transformation? Means, what is the means of transformation? Reality, what must one do to be deemed to being religious enough? Sacred, what is the ultimacy? All of these interact with one another in making a firm religion.
Along with these seven key points, religion also includes symbols, myths, and rituals. Every religion includes symbols, myths, and rituals. All of which are very differently followed in each religion.
